We are sad to announce that one of our long time committee members, and a very good friend, Tom Hughes passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018 at his "cabin" while visiting family for the holidays. Tom is survived by his wife, Gretchen; his daughters Amber and April; his sister Caroline; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Tom Hughes began helping with our car show when it was the "Avenue of Flags Car Show" in Buellton. He became a member of our car show committee during that time. Being a "Car Guy" himself and his love for all types of Classic Cars, made him a perfect fit as a committee member. His support each year during the planning and putting on the car show was very much appreciated and will truely be missed. Tom and his family will always be a part of our car show family and he will always be remembered for his unwavering support for our event.

Car Show Registration

The 2019 Wheels 'N' Windmills Car Show is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 24th. The date for opening online registration for the 2019 event will be posted towards the end of April 2019.

In an effort to bring back motorcycles to our event, we added four motorcycle classes to the 2018 show. we did not get enough motorcycles registered to fill the four classes but we did get enough to have a decent showing. We are asking that anyone interested in showing their pre-1980 motorcycle in the 2019 event contact Dan at (805) 452-1194 or Bob at (805) 686-1112 and let us know before the end of January 2019. Unfortunetely, if we can't get better motorcycle participation for next year's event, we will have to consider eliminating the motorcycle classes again.

The Wheels 'N' Windmills Car Show committee would like to thank all of the previous participants throughout the years (regardless of vehicle make or year) that have made our show as successful as it has been. We will continue to strive to provide the best possible “Car Show” environment possible and hope that next year will be as good, or better than this year's show.
